Best parents ever to get a Chocobo blanket for their baby! Maybe if I have kids I'll give them a "fantasy creatures from video games" themed bedroom... :happybounce:

Thank you it was a lot faster to knit than the 1UP mushroom blanket but it had alot more ends to deal with.

Did you knit this in squares or did you do an afghan stitch? it looks amazing!

Its easier to understand from the pics in the Ravelry link in the description but its columns of squares, except in the case of blocks of colors then its larger squares to reduce the need for more stitching after. Thank you!

I started it back in April but the total time spent I would say less than 40 work hours from cast on to all ends stitched and tied.

Well in total it was 3 months but I count all my projects in "amount of manhours involved" It went a lot faster than the 1Up Mushroom Blanket.

Ahhh that explains. :3 I stay with the number of days instead to seem a bit more impressive. ^^; And make myself feel better for being so slow. :(

You made one? o.o I must see this.

oh i love that. did you do it individual blocks? or just switched colors?

In the Ravelry link you can see it was split into 5 columns of 5 pixels per column. It was a combo of individual blocks but color switching along the single pixel verticals. Unless there were larger sections of similar colors, then I tried to keep them together to reduce the amount of post-stitching required.
